Kiddie Carousel is a family-owned and operated childcare center that has served the Wabash Valley since 1991 from the same location. Donna Helt was the sole owner of the Center until 2022 when she began to step back from the business into retirement, entrusting her legacy to her daughters, Kylie Gilman and Danielle Merkel. Kylie retired from a 30-year career in Elementary Education and serves as the Center Director. Danielle serves as the school administrator, having spent her career in Higher Education, the last 30 years at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

The girls are extremely proud to operate the Center true to their mother’s vision with added curricular innovations and early childcare best-practice.

Licensed by the State of Indiana, Kiddie Carousel is a Paths to Quality Level 4 Center, and NECPA accredited. We accept Childcare Development Fund (CCDF), On My Way Pre-K, and Childcare Aware funding for military families. Our preschool curriculum follows the State of Indiana Early Learning Foundations. Students “learn by doing” in a positive, supportive environment.
